Our platform of information and ordering targets primarily the type of language learning materials that are designed for self-instruction.  Further, we mainly reference materials that address literacy in either the English language for persons whose first language is Spanish, or literacy in the Spanish language for persons whose first language is English. 

Our catalogs are selected primarily from Self-help styled language courses literature.  Self-help courses also offer two distinct advantages when used for traditional classroom instruction, especially for the new language teacher:  (1) Self-help courses are always built around organized and proven lesson plans; and (2) Self-help materials can be taken with the students as their follow-up teacher for all time forward after their classroom experience.

For anyone interested in the development of our concept, dating from 1970, a historical essay is available on request.  This website no longer provides teaching or interactive learning concepts — hundreds of websites and schools are now available internationally either on-site or via internet that better serve this purpose in today’s world. 

Technical Note:   All of today's media used for language courses—including CDs or other compact discs, cassettes, tapes, phono discs 78 or 33rpm—can be downloaded to popular devices for listening, such as mp3 or iPod or iPhone etc., but you must have the correct hardware or computer equipment needed to do this.  Some courses now offer direct internet downloads, but this service is not necessary to utilize any available or existing older media through modern listening devices.
